My Life: The Greatest Circus in Palestine

My Life: The Greatest Circus in Palestine

1×30

The Greatest Circus in Palestine is a hopeful portrait of life and solidarity from the perspectives of the young members of Palestine’s only circus school. The film centres on the experiences of Su’ad, Yasin and Leen, 3 young performers who want to advance their circus skills whilst dealing with and coming to terms with difficult circumstances in their personal lives. These two strands form the foundations that the film builds on, as the class of talented kids prepare for a defining performance in front of their biggest audience yet. We explore the complex lives of our young contributors and try to view a childhood of extremes through their eyes. Whilst the ongoing trials and tribulations of their environment remain, the circus represents a safe space where they can have fun, make friends and most importantly be children again.
