A Two Season Special mockumentary series. Somewhere in London (SWIL) is the creation of the multi-talented Michael Dapaah, produced by Big Deal Films in conjunction with Dapaah Productions. The series focuses on the comedic trials and tribulations of a set of protagonists who are each maneuvering through very different lives in the same city. Dr. Ofori is a cab driver with a complex love life and aspirations to be the next big talk show host, Big Shaq is a rapper with a difference and head of the Bursement Boys, Patrick Clover is a Community Police Officer/ traffic warden determined to ‘crack down crime in prime time’, Gabrielle is an artist with a special kind of flair and Damien Johnson is a new arrival to the city straight from Love and Hip Hop Nebraska and focused on making a name for himself – and that’s just the primary characters! Each of the main characters has a complicated network of bad bosses; disgruntled baby mothers, angry clients and dodgy family members to deal with, adding to the mockumentary style comedy. SWIL is a hilarious portrait of life in London that has coined many memorable catch phrases and introduced iconic characters that have the ability to return time and time again
